Notes:
- For Gen 4.1 Buttons to function correctly with CX-20, CX-30, CX-50 (Gen2), and C-5/C-10 Base Units, the Base Unit must be operating on firmware version 2.12.0.12 or higher. For details, see KB5644.
- Since the release of ClickShare CS(E) firmware version 1.8, it is no longer possible to use GEN 2.0 Buttons with CS(E)-series Base Units and GEN 3.0 Buttons with CSM-1 and CSC-1 Base Units, as compatibility between these Base Units and Button generations has been disabled. For details, see KB3649.
- It is recommended to use only the ClickShare Buttons that were delivered with or are compatible with the ClickShare Base Unit. You can identify your ClickShare Button by checking the model number/part number printed on the back. Click here.
- If you're having difficulty identifying your ClickShare Base Unit, refer to KB2865 for various identification methods, including using the part number.
Button model identification
GEN 2.0 and GEN 3.0 Buttons are physically identical and can only be distinguished by inspecting the label on the back. Similarly, GEN 4.0 and GEN 4.1 Buttons share the same design and are also distinguishable only via the label. The key visual difference between GEN 4.0/4.1 and GEN 2.0/3.0 Buttons includes their overall look, layout and the presence of a second Quick Button located at the top of the GEN 4.0/4.1 Buttons.
