Issue:
- Some Logitech Tap touch controllers fail to recognize the HDMI™ connection from ClickShare devices after toggling the HDMI™ output. This issue occurs when the ClickShare device wakes up from standby or activates screen output during content sharing.
- Analysis has shown that this might be related to the ‘hotplug’ detection behaviour in certain Logitech TAP hardware revisions.
- Rooms where the HDMI™ connection between ClickShare and Logitech Tap is routed through a switcher are usually not affected.
Verification:
Steps to verify your problem is related to this compatibility issue using a standard Laptop (without a ClickShare device in the loop)
- Connect a standard laptop or PC HDMI™ output to the Logitech Tap HDMI™ input.
- Verify that the display is showing on the MTR/ZR screen.
- Go to Settings -> Displays.
- Select the display showing on the Logitech Tap.
- Switch off the display by selecting “Show only on 1” in the lower left corner of the layout.
- Wait until the MTR/ZR disables the screenshare.
- Switch the display back on.
- Press the content share button on the MTR/ZR Controller.
If the Logitech Tap does not recognize the HDMI™ signal and the MTR displays “Please connect HDMI™ cable” after the screenshare is activated, your Logitech Tap might be affected.
