Symptoms

The OSD error "No default gateway set (DHCP option 3) or gateway not within subnet" shows on the screen of the NGS-D440/SAN-050.

Causes

The DHCP server of the network that is connected to the NGS-D440/SAN-050, does not supply the gateway (DHCP option 3).

Solution

  1. Configure option 3 of the DHCP server of your network correctly, see R591966 - Barco CTRL Network Design Guide.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect the network cable.
NOTE: This is necessary because the setting is sent with the DHCP lease.

Notes

You can do a check of your gateway IP address:

  1. Connect a Windows computer to the same network.
  2. Start a command prompt
  3. Enter the command ipconfig /all and press the Enter key.
NOTE: Your gateway IP address will show in the network configuration list.
