The LED ring on your ClickShare Button indicates the current status of the Button. When it is blinking white it indicates that the Button is trying to connect to the ClickShare Base Unit Wi-Fi or Corporate Wi-Fi or that you still need to run the application from the ClickShare drive.
Note:
- Since the CS/CSE firmware version 1.8 release, the Gen 2.0 Button will no longer work with the CS(E)-series Base Unit, for details see KB3649. To identify your ClickShare Button generation/model, see KB3998.
- Looking for troubleshooting tips for ClickShare C/CX-series Button issues, see KB4349.
Troubleshooting white light flashing
-
Activate the Button by starting the application on the ClickShare drive.
-
After activation, the LED ring on your ClickShare Button should stop flashing.
- If the Button is still blinking white it indicates that the Button is still trying to connect.
- If it does not stop flashing, please re-pair the ClickShare Button with the Base Unit (how-to, see KB5924).
-
If the ClickShare Button still doesn't connect after re-pairing, check the firmware version of the Base Unit (how-to, see KB13401) or contact your local IT to do this. If the Base Unit is not running the latest firmware, update it (how-to, see KB5923) and then proceed to update the Button (how-to, see KB9769).
-
Make sure the ClickShare App is not being blocked by security restrictions. All info on how to whitelist a ClickShare Button or App running from the Button can be found in KB3527.
-
A good test is to download and install the ClickShare Desktop App to determine if it might be the USB port that is restricted, and if it works correctly using the ClickShare Desktop App
