The Local View feature in the ClickShare Desktop App enables participants to see the content presented on the meeting room display on their own devices. This feature is useful when, for example, you're sitting at the back of the room, taking meeting notes, or when you want to share the displayed content (from yourself or others) with remote participants in a UC&C call.
Here’s how you can use the Local View feature
- Connect to your ClickShare device using the ClickShare Desktop App or the ClickShare Button.
- In the ClickShare Desktop App interface, click the eye icon (new user interface) or select View room display (old user interface).
Clicking eye icon Selecting View room display
A new window opens, displaying an exact copy of the meeting room display content on your laptop/PC. A red eye will be shown at the bottom left on the meeting room display splash screen.
Note: The ClickShare Desktop App interface will display the following message if the maximum allowable view room limit for the connected ClickShare device is exceeded. For details on Local View restrictions for your ClickShare device, see KB 11203.
Note: Local View can be disabled by your local IT admin. If you can’t access this feature, please contact your IT department.
Sharing meeting room display content: If you're hosting a hybrid meeting, you can share the content of the meeting room display with the remote participants in a UC&C call (how-to, see KB 2077).
