How to identify this issue:
This issue can show up on QAWeb Server as an 'Internal issue'. Read more about internal issues in the linked knowledge base article: [KB7878].
When you click on 'View issue' next to the internal issue in the 'Issues and Actions: In progress' overview, you will see an issue detail on the next page. In this case, it looks like the following screenshot:
Root cause:
This issue only happens on displays of the following model: MFGD-5621 HD
Display measurements (such as for the auto-calibration) are performed with the built-in front sensor, the I-Guard. To avoid influence from surrounding pixels around the I-Guard, a rectangle with the same brightness and grayscale value is drawn around that I-Guard when QAWeb Agent is measuring. For this display specifically, we draw this rectangle using the display controller (via Windows). When, however, video content is overwriting this rectangle (e.g. a radiologist is working on the display and the mouse enters the area of the rectangle), then the QAWeb measurements are aborted.
Solution:
We advise to only schedule actions such as the Auto-Calibration and DICOM Compliance Test during hours when no one is using the workstation. Furthermore, we advise in this case to not use a moving screen saver. Make sure, however, to enable the system's power save settings correctly to avoid burn-in on the display. Barco recommends to automatically turn off the display after a maximum of 20 minutes of not being used.
