Applicable to

Room types

weConnect gives the possibility to system administrators to create a range of room types, depending on the purpose of the lecture and the way of sharing content by teacher, students or both.
Each room type can have one or more devices with dedicated roles.
And every device can have third party hardware connected (display(s), audio, camera), having dedicated roles.

See [KB7723].

Classroom configuration workflow

Only few clicks are needed to configure a Classroom that can accommodate satisfied users and allows sharing of data without delays. This section shows a stepwise approach on how to configure a Classroom.

Specifics about a Classroom:

  • It is meant primarily to share the teacher content with students present in the classroom.
  • For classrooms with up to 50 students, optimally.
  • The students are encouraged to participate in using their devices (BYOD)
    • students can share content (teacher acts as moderator and can display/block their content)
    • students can participate in polls
    • whiteboard can be set to collaborative mode to allow students to use it
  • No pod functionality, as this is meant for collaboration rooms

  2. Go to tab Locations
  3. In the institute hierarchy select the physical room for which you want to configure a new room type
