Installation Magazine and Barco visit London’s prestigious ‘The Crystal’

VIDEO WALLS - PROJECTOR 1 min read

In September last, Siemens proudly inaugurated one of its most prestigious projects ever: ‘The Crystal’. The world's first center dedicated to improving knowledge of urban sustainability, 'The Crystal' illustrates how the latest infrastructure technology can make the world’s cities better places to live and work. As behooves a high-tech building, 'The Crystal' features quite some Barco gear. So Barco took Installation Magazine on a visit to the landmark building in London’s Royal Victoria Docks.

Operating as a conference venue as well as a museum of the future, The Crystal features a fully equipped boardroom encompassing two Barco video walls. On top of that, Barco set up an HDX-W18 projector at the ‘Dome’ auditorium. All the projectors are controlled by Barco’s XDS system.

The Barco installations as well as, of course, the goals of The Crystal, its sustainability features and the Siemens technology that can help make cities and buildings more eco-friendly will be largely described in the December issue of Installation Magazine.
