Valkyrie is Barco Residential's most popular LED solution based on size and viewing distance. You would think 1.2 pixel pitch is big, but LED is about the correct viewing and about how the source is delivered from the content player to the display. Barco is always making sure the image is perfect. We have developed a completely new processor for our Valkyrie display, which reproduces a revolutionary viewing experience with an highly dynamic, yet very realistic image.
TruePix is Barco's flagship indoor high-resolution LED platform. The 27,5” inch tiles with a 16:9 aspect ratio range from .9mm to 1.5mm pixel pitch. TruePix brings content to life as intended and ensures predictable, truly seamless visualization, based on smart engineering and the company’s next-generation Infinipix® gen2 image processing platform. This ensures color accuracy and perfect contrast at any brightness level.
The self-regulating wall structure and perfectly aligned LED modules offer a perfectly flat wall and uniform image, with seams less than 0.1 mm, the entire video wall lifetime.
With more than 2 decades of expertise on LED technology, Barco is not new to the LED market. But it is the first time we introduce that expertise, knowledge and experience into the Residential market. Our products support both REC 709 and DCI color space as well as the latest HDR technologies.
TruePix are our new generation of Direct LED view technology, delivering an amazing experience and unparalleled image quality . TruePix has breathtaking colour rendering, perfect black level and will surely immerse the audience.
When the wall frame are installed, the weight rests on specially designed springs. Based on the force of gravity the entire wall will level itself automatically, this results in a completely frictionless structure eliminating all mechanical stress.
This is possible because of Barco’s revolutionary automated manufacturing process, where this alignment is automated by Barco developed alignment machine with super tight tolerances.
The Processing will automatically apply the correct color gamut and EOTF Curve to make sure the colors are represented correctly.
With Barco’s new Infinipix® gen2 image processing platform, we have created Steadyview™ to ensure an unmatched viewing experience to avoid any type of flicker.
The Processing bit depth is a measure for the smallest step between black and grey a display can show. Not all displays are showing the content at real 10 or 12 bit, a simple way of testing that, is dimming the display down.
