UGAP selects Barco medical display systems as the preferred solution for France’s public hospitals

The French purchasing agency UGAP (l’Union des groupements d’achats publics) was so impressed by Barco’s wide product range, its technical leadership and its dedication that it decided to recommend Barco’s diagnostic and clinical review displays to all public hospitals in France. Over the next three years, French public hospitals will be able to purchase our medical display solutions without having to follow normal tender regulations, which will save them considerable time and effort.

The choice for Barco came after a public tender for the delivery of a ‘medical display package’, including medical display systems, software and servers/consoles. “Barco offers a very wide range of high-quality medical display systems – diagnostic as well as clinical review and surgical displays, in grayscale and/or color, even with touch screens, etc. They really stand out, technically speaking, from other solutions, through features like BLOS, iGuard and MediCal QA Web. On top of that, the dedication and availability of the Barco sales reps gave us the confidence that Barco is a partner we will always be able to rely on,” said Fabien Cardinale, responsible for the purchasing of medical imaging equipment at UGAP.

The first orders are in!

Barco’s medical display solutions are integrated with TeraRecon and marketed by integrator Computacenter, which will provide local services and support via nine local agencies. The first orders have been filled already.
