Barco Nerthus stands as a giant in the home theater world, with a chassis measuring 1.5 meters and weighing 170 kilograms. Built on Barco's acclaimed Series 4 platform with Alchemy technology, it delivers exceptional performance and quality. Featuring three 1.38-inch DC4K DMD chips and an RGB laser light source, its 32,000-lumen output is ten times brighter than standard consumer projectors. With HDR image processing, Nerthus takes visuals to new heights, offering 1000:1 ANSI contrast, 5000:1 dynamic contrast, and 100% REC. 2020 color gamut. Compatible with both DCP cinema formats and consumer audiovisual content, it defines the ultimate standard for home cinema.

Challenge

From the project's inception, Client Mr. Jiang emphasized a focus on visual performance, centering the design around a towering 240-inch screen. The challenge was finding a projector capable of delivering sufficient brightness, as conventional projectors simply could not deliver adequate quality for such a massive display, particularly with HDR content. Mr. Jiang had no compromises on image quality, so the search was on for a projector that could seamlessly balance these demands on brightness and color gamut for a large screen.
