Barco Residential takes the spotlight at CEDIA 2024 with the new Heimdall projection platform, and the addition of the NT series DV-LED walls to the Residential line

Heimdall is the son of Odin, the Norse god who illuminates the world.  Heimdall & Heimdall+ will illuminate fine residential cinemas around the world, leveraging technologies, craftsmanship and experience that have made Barco the industry leader in commercial cinema and the simulation market.

The Heimdall+ will be displayed at CEDIA 2024 offering 6,000 lumens—enough brightness to illuminate even large screens for the most home cinema excitement! Also available is a 4,000 lumen Heimdall.

True luxury is also simplicity.  Cinemascope versions will feature Barco Residential’s unique auto aspect detection.  Every movie is displayed at the perfect height and perfect aspect ratio automatically with virtually no user intervention required.

Other standout Heimdall/Heimdall+ features include:

• The latest Native 4K DLP® chipset from Texas Instruments.

• RGB Laser Light Engine for 100% of BT2020 color gamut.  No color filter needed.  Get the best color reproduction combined with full brightness!  

• HDMI^TM 2.1 with HDCP 2.3:  This ensures compatibility with the latest high resolution/high frame rate sources for the ultimate gaming experience. 

Nine different lenses are available, from ultra short throw to extreme long throw.  This allows the Heimdall to be installed in virtually any room, and in virtually any location.

Audio for this demo will be provided by TPI and Storm Audio with a Stewart Filmscreen.

Heimdall and Heimdall+ will be available in Spring 2025.

The Barco Residential NT Series of Direct View LED walls is the perfect high value option in this category.  For the first time ever, Barco Residential will show a Vali 1.2 162” DV-LED wall that combines legendary Barco performance and the exclusive Barco Residential white glove service, providing full installation by trained Barco engineers at a breakthrough price point.

For all demos, Barco Residential will use Kaleidescape source content and madVR processing.
