6.4.1 Manage software

About software update

Updating the software of the Encore3 with the web page can be done in two methods:

Using local storage on a connected computer.
Using a USB stick plugged into the Encore3.

Multiple different software versions are allowed to be present on the USB stick. It is possible to install an older version of the software. Be mindful that this can cause issues.

Tip: It is recommended to create a backup before updating. For more information, see “Backup”.

Required parts

8GB+ USB stick formatted in FAT32.

How to update from the local computer

Select the Computer tab from the table.

Select the desired update file using one of the following methods:
- Drag and drop the file in the designated area.
- Click on the drag and drop area and navigate to the desired file.
- Navigate to the file by clicking the Browse button.

The chosen file name will be written above the Upload button.
Click on Upload to install the software.

The Encore3 will reboot.

How to update from a USB stick

Insert the USB stick in the desired port:
- ‘USB-A’ port (reference 1) at the front.
- ‘USB-C’ port (reference 2) at the back.

Select the USB tab from the table.

Click on Import to install the software.

The Encore3 will reboot. This may take several minutes.
