Faster builds, smarter workflows, bigger shows: the Encore3 10.2 software version
3 分钟阅读
With the release of Encore3’s Event Master toolset v10.2, we continue to refine what operators expect from a high-end image processing platform: flexibility in setup, speed in operation, and rock-solid system performance.
Built on direct feedback from live event professionals and designed for the pace of live production, this update introduces a range of enhancements that enable bigger shows, faster workflows, and more flexible system design.
Harry Patel and Vincent Ayala give you an in-depth update of all the new 10.2 features in this video.
A stronger system built for bigger shows
As productions continue to grow in scale and complexity, Encore3 10.2 takes a significant step forward in system capacity and capability.
First introduced at ISE 2026, Encore3 four-unit linking will be fully available after 10.2 official release, enabling more powerful system configurations with increased I/O capacity and processing headroom. With new, stronger linking system, operators can scale their setup with ease while maintaining full control and system reliability. This is a key enabler for larger, more demanding productions.
Two other frequently requested capabilities have now been integrated into the platform: support for auxiliary program output within MVR-based workflows, and the activation of linear timecode (LTC) as a reliable trigger mechanism for cue execution ensuring synchronization with other time-dependent show elements such as audio, video, and lighting sequences.
Together, these updates strengthen Encore3’s role at the heart of complex, tightly controlled productions.
Faster workflows where it matters most
Speed remains critical in live environments, where every second counts during planning, setup and operation. Version 10.2 introduces a range of improvements designed to help operators move faster and work more efficiently.
A standout addition is the introduction of layer snapping, enhanced with configurable snap grid lines directly within the user interface. By integrating snap-to-edge behavior with customizable snap grid lines, users can align layers quickly and consistently without relying on manual fine-tuning. As a result, operators can build clean, custom layouts in a matter of seconds, while maintaining full control over spacing, alignment, and overall composition.
More enhancements further streamline day-to-day workflows. The LED tile helper with screen creation simplifies the math of LED configurations. A multi-operator assigned screen destination list view improves collaboration and oversight in larger teams. And the drag & drop folder functionality allows faster organization of the show for sources, user keys or presets.
While these improvements may seem incremental, they can remove friction, save valuable time, and minimize the risk of errors before and during live operation.
More creative freedom through smarter flexibility
Flexibility remains a core pillar of the Encore3 platform, and version 10.2 introduces meaningful upgrades that give operators more control over how they build and adapt their systems.
A key highlight is the increased configurability of the tri-combo input card connector. Rather than working within fixed groupings of connectors, operators can now individually select which of the six available inputs to activate. Specifically, users can choose any four connectors out of the six, instead of being restricted to predefined sets. This allows for more precise input configuration, making it easier to adapt setups to specific event requirements with greater efficiency.
Combined with virtual screen destinations, unmerging background layer, and independent horizontal and vertical border control, these updates give operators greater freedom to design, adjust, and optimize their setups and visual layouts for any stage or event configuration.
