As cinema owners in Latin America continue to rapidly embrace digital cinema technologies to upgrade and expand their theaters, local service and support – as well as total cost of ownership – are key factors in their projector decision. To complete its digital cinema deployment in Brazil, Cinesystem Cinemas looked to Barco once again as the clear choice to fulfill both objectives, and is installing nearly every model of digital cinema projector made by Barco.
From the compact DP2K-10Sx with integrated media server and redundant storage, to the ultra-bright Enhanced 4K DP4K-32B for their largest movie screens, Cinesystem Cinemas doubled its investments and plans to upgrade 100% of theater circuit to Barco projectors. This recent influx will enable the Brazilian movie chain to keep pace with an increasingly young and growing moviegoing public by elevating the quality of cinema entertainment in the region.
“What really distinguishes Barco is their absolute dedication to customer service and support, which is unmatched in the industry. Their responsiveness to our needs has been outstanding and their technicians are highly knowledgeable,” comments Marcos Barros, CEO of Cinesystem Cinemas. “We are excited to grow our relationship with Barco because they truly take care of our needs.” Barros continues, “Barco is also a very sound, economical investment. Because of their diverse product line, we can match the right projector to every screen size, giving us more brightness for the money. Other factors, such as reusable metal filters and modularity for easy parts replacement or exchange, significantly lower the total cost of ownership as well.”
