Adele Live in New York City

New York, New York, US - 2016

To celebrate the launch of her highly anticipated new album “25,” singer-songwriter Adele delighted fans with her first concert in four years at Radio City Music Hall in November. The concert “Adele Live in New York City” was broadcasted the following month as a one-hour TV special featuring the concert, accompanied by behind-the scenes vignettes of the artist’s preparations for the event and footage of live interaction with the audience.

Despite an extremely tight schedule and precise creative demands by the artist, DWP Live pulled off an intricate 3D projection mapping to serve as the stunning stage backdrop for the show – in less than one day, without a hitch. A total of 21 Barco HDF-W30 FLEX and six HDX-W20 FLEX event projectors illuminated the stage behind Adele, delivering a staggering 750,000 lumens of brilliant imagery.

“As always, we were very confident that the Barco projectors could provide the high brightness, horsepower and reliability we needed. The relatively smaller weight of the HDX-W20s was also critical, since they had to be hand carried for the proscenium projection,” comments Danny Whetstone, founder and president of DWP Live.

Adele’s “25” is already topping charts and shattering records, reaching #1 on iTunes in 110 countries, and selling over 3 million copies in its first week.
