Tecgraf is the Computer Graphics Research and Development Lab of the PUCRio University located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since its start-up in 1985, the lab has successfully developed innovative software products in the field of e.g. geophysics, geology, geomechanics, marine facilities and the environment, often for renowned industrial customers.

As Tecgraf’s main focus is on computer graphics, easy and clear data visualization is key for the researchers to gain thorough insights into their projects and collaborate efficiently. Barco’s three-sided (+ floor) iSpace featuring three Galaxy NH-12 projectors and one ultra-high resolution LX-5 projector proved to provide the perfect simulation solution.

Stepping inside knowledge at the University of Strasbourg

At the University of Strasbourg, immersive technology is no longer something you put on, it is something you walk into. With the delivery of a new three sided 3D CAVE at the ICube laboratory, researchers and students now have access to an environment that turns complex data, simulations and interactions into shared, spatial experiences. Designed and integrated by Antycip, and powered by Barco I600 projectors, the installation marks a new milestone in immersive academic infrastructure in France.
