6.4.1.1 View angle

About view angle

What the camera captures and how the image is optimized and manipulated can be managed in four ways:

Note: Changes to the settings or viewing the preview is only possible if no device is connected to the ClickShare. This helps protect the privacy and security of the possible people or sensitive information nearby the meeting room.

About group framing

Group framing allows the ClickShare to digitally zoom and pan the captured image to focus dynamically on the participants. ClickShare will detect where the attendees are sitting and cut everything surrounding the attendees out of the image. This will minimize the amount of room that gets shown around the meeting participants and allows for a more focused image, with attendees as focus.

There are no additional settings to manage for this feature.

About composition framing

A more advanced version of group framing. Composition framing will detect each individual attendee, cut out as much of the background for each and reassemble each cutout into a composite image. This composite image will have removed as much of the background as possible and can show two attendees sitting physically far as sitting right next to each other. A full unedited view will be shown under the composite image to give a sense of perspective.

There are no additional settings to manage for this feature.

About speaker framing
Note: Only for CB Pro!

To ensure that the speaker is the center of attention, speaker framing will digitally zoom and pan the captured image to focus on the attendee that is currently talking. ClickShare will automatically detect and switch its focus when another attendee takes over as speaker. Ensuring that the meetings camera image is always on the person talking.

There are no additional settings to manage for this feature.

About fixed position

Fixed position allows for the cropping of the ultra-wide image to simulate physical panning or tilting. Combine these two with the digital zoom of the camera for more precision in choosing which area that gets captured and shown in the meeting.

How to edit the settings
  1. Click on “Edit settings” button in the upper right corner.

Tip: The “Edit settings” button will be disabled while a device is connected to the ClickShare!
Tip: Ensure the ClickShare desktop app is not running on the computer. A running ClickShare app can trick the system into assuming a user is connected.

A message will be displayed on the connected display for 10 seconds that warns about the camera being used by an admin.

  2. Select the preferred camera mode from the drop-down list after “Default View Angle”.

    • If no, click “Save changes”.
Tip: If not all changes could be made or the timer was too short, then click on “Resume” to restart the timer.
