6.4.1.2 SmartFocus

Note: This feature is in active development and only released as a beta.
About SmartFocus

SmartFocus dynamically switches between the laptop camera or the room camera depending on where the person is looking. Anyone looking at their laptop will have their laptop camera active. If they are looking in the direction of the room camera, then ClickShare will automatically switch from the laptop camera to the room camera. This switching will prioritize the active speaker.

When multiple people are present, connected to ClickShare and have joined the meeting, then ClickShare will dynamically switch the audio to remove echo and increase the sound quality.

The end user must have a beta client of the ClickShare Desktop App to use SmartFocus. For more information, click the “here” text in the descriptive text under the checkbox or with the following link: https://www.barco.com/en/cpg/workplace/clickshare-smartfocus-beta-program.

How to toggle
  1. Click on “Edit settings” button in the upper right corner.

Tip: The “Edit settings” button will be disabled while a device is connected to the ClickShare!
Tip: Ensure the ClickShare desktop app is not running on the computer. A running ClickShare app can trick the system into assuming a user is connected.

A message will be displayed on the connected display for 10 seconds that warns about the camera being used by an admin.

  2. Click on the checkbox in front of “Enable” to toggle the feature.
